Trust In Teachers was created by Samm Smith as a visual resource to illustrate how public school educators and the Massachusetts general public have much more in common than oftentimes portrayed, and both parties have a chance to work together for the common good.

This project was made for Samm's final presentation for her spring 2021 Labor Policy class, as part of her master's degree track in the Union Leadership and Activism (ULA) for Educators Program at UMass Amherst.

Samm has been an active member of her local, Professional Staff Union (PSU-MTA) since 2016, serving on the union's bargaining committee, delegate council, sick leave bank board, and has recently been elected to serve as grievance officer for the next three years.

​

She's passionate about the labor movement and exposing the entities hell-bent on dismantling public education in the US. She's also a writer, photographer, graphic designer, and digital strategist working in the Pioneer Valley. Check out her website for more info.
